Do I need a referral or prescription?

Yes, for treatment covered by your health insurance, you need a therapy prescription from your doctor. General practitioners, pediatricians, ENT doctors, and dentists can issue these. Self-pay patients do not need a prescription.

We treat patients with all statutory and private health insurances. Self-pay treatment is also possible.

How do I schedule an appointment?

The easiest way to reach us is by phone at 089 / 45 23 15 81 during our opening hours (Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–6:00 PM). Alternatively, you can submit an appointment request through our online contact form.

Do you offer home visits?

Yes, we offer home visits as well as treatments in care facilities. A medical prescription with the note "home visit" is required. Please feel free to contact us.

How long does a therapy session last?

A regular therapy session typically lasts 45 minutes. Depending on the condition, sessions may also be 30 or 60 minutes. The exact duration is determined by the medical prescription.

At what age can my child receive speech therapy?

Accepted Answer

Speech therapy can begin at any age. For children, an assessment is recommended if fewer than 50 words are spoken by age 2 or no multi-word sentences are formed by age 3. If in doubt, we are happy to advise you by phone.

What is the difference between speech therapy and logopedics?

The terms are often used interchangeably. Logopedics is the common technical term in Germany and encompasses the diagnosis and therapy of speech, language, voice, swallowing, and hearing disorders.

When is occupational therapy beneficial?

Accepted Answer

Occupational therapy is beneficial when the ability to act in everyday life is impaired – for example after a stroke, with developmental delays in children, rheumatic diseases, or psychological impairments. Children with concentration or coordination problems also benefit from occupational therapy.

Do I need to bring my own therapy materials?

Accepted Answer

No, all necessary materials and therapy tools are provided by us. For home visits, our therapists bring the materials with them.

Is there parking near the practice?

Accepted Answer

Parking is available on Brudermühlstraße and surrounding streets. The practice is also easily accessible by public transport (U-Bahn Brudermühlstraße).
